The position of Mechanic Shop Service Supervisor ensures that daily shop operations are executed to the highest safety and performance standards, monitor and maintain parts, vehicle, and equipment inventory.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and work within Mitchell 1 and Procore software
  • Maintain inventory levels, order parts required for repairs
  • Supervise and assist mechanics as needed with diagnosis, repair, record keeping, and professional development
  • Report any concerns regarding employee job performance
  • Assist CEO/HR with employee annual performance reviews
  • Recommend and participate in professional development to stay up to date with technology and techniques
  • Has a working knowledge of industry laws and regulations to ensure shop compliance
  • Demonstrate reliability through exceptional attendance
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and professional development
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Quality Control:

  • Support Tria’s high standards in workplace health and safety through compliance and documentation
  • Work safely, including use of required PPE, following safe work procedures, and company policies
  • Maintain all tools and equipment in the shop to ensure safety and effectiveness
  • Create and conduct daily toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Support employee compliance with company equipment inspections and safe equipment operating procedures
  • Conduct inspection checks to ensure vehicles and machinery maintenance intervals meet safety standards

Recordkeeping and Documentation:

  • Create and update preventative maintenance schedules for all company vehicles and machinery, ensure compliance with manufacturer and company standards
  • Ensure all work and meetings are documented in company software
  • Ensure all employees are completing vehicle and machinery paperwork properly and report any concerns to your supervisor.
  • Submit all safety observations, recommendations and required paperwork in an accurate timely manner

  • Verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and the service team
  • Able to walk and stand on feet for extended period
  • Able to lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs
  • Able to crawl on hands and knees, climb a ladder
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • at least two years of previous working experience in the automotive industry as an Automotive Service Technician, Mechanic, or Automobile Service Advisor.
  • Extensive knowledge of industry standards and best practices, including details about the company and manufacturers
